Photo by R.J. Bianchino taken 10/19/00 Last night the Hadden Sayers Band brought their brand of bluesy Texas rock to Boulder Station. With Terry Dry on bass and Matt Johnson on drums laying down a solid beat, Hadden was free to play gentle rhythm or solid leads without worry of losing his more than capable rhythm section.

The band ripped through a fine selection of some of their best songs. This included the bluesy Bring It To Me Slowly and a Surf Medley containing a collection of California surf music and T.V. and movie themes of the sixties. All of which was sure to please surf guitar master Dick Dale. Hadden Sayers even dedicated the song Groovey Little Getaway to "all the Las Vegas hippies".

The band also played hard rock songs like Rock And Roll Star and the much requested Fast Car. Whatever the style of music Sayers' guitar work shinned throughout. This was Hadden Sayers' second Las Vegas appearance since October. Both at Boulder Station. The band's constant touring makes for a very good live show. Only time will tell if this band from Houston, Texas will make it to the top.
