Tinsley Ellis & Kenny Kilgore Tinsley Ellis came and took the Railhead by storm, closing out the month of May for Boulder Station's blues night. Tinsley and his band performed for two and a half hours. If you weren't a fan of his before the show, you were by its conclusion.

The slide guitar work of Kenny Kilgore on songs like "Digging My Own Grave" and "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean" were excellent. Bassist Phil Zone and the drummer kept the rhythm section in top form as made evident on the new song "Hell Or High Water" and "To The Devil For A Dime". These tunes were especially energetic despite the death and devil content.

Even with all the great playing from this group, the show was definitly all Tinsley. "Heart Fixing Business" and "A Quitter Never Wins" proved what a truely gifted guitarist he is.

The audience was very receptive to his playing and Ellis seemed to be having as much fun as they were. The songs "Blues Man Undertands" and Cream's "I'm So Glad" provided a fitting end to a great show. Tinsley Ellis once again poured all his heart into the business of performing.
